Hardware Recomendations for Court Reporters

When selecting a new computer for use with Court Reporting, we recommend the following bare minimum settings for that new system:

• Dual Core Processor or higher
• At least 2GB of RAM (3GB or more is ideal)
• 160GB Hard Drive
• Windows XP or Windows 7 (Windows Vista should be avoided)
• Some type of expansion slot (PCMCIA or Express Card Slots) for serial connectivity
• Good quality sound card (or a good USB Microphone)
• At least 3 USB Slots (the more, the better)
