While not technically powerful enough to do your actual reporting on, we have found that netbooks make the PERFECT throw down computer for reporters to give to their clients (judges, attorneys, etc.) to view their realtime.  These systems are small, lightweight and because they are YOURS you can all but guarantee a realtime connection in the court room.  Just think of all the time and headaches you'll save by not having to worry about getting a client's laptop ready to view realtime!

Each of our netbooks comes preconfigured and ready for use.  We remove all of the "bloatware" that comes preloaded and load on all the basic software you need, even a free word processing program.  We also preload drivers for the StenoCast wireless system and install Bridge, the FREE realtime viewing software from Advantage Software.  Once you get the system all you need to do is turn it on and you're ready to go.  If you want additional software installed, just put that request in the TECHNICIAN COMMENTS box when ordered.

Each netbook comes with the following:

• Netbook fully setup and configured for realtime viewing
• USB to Serial Port Adapter - installed and labeled
  
• Bridge - free realtime viewing software - installed and configured
• Protective sleeve

Because netbooks are basically all the same we don't stick with a particular model system.  However, you are guaranteed to get a name brand netbook - typically Acer, Asus, HP or Samsung.  Netbooks are powered by Windows 7 Starter Edition and will have 10 inch screens, 1GB of RAM, Intel Atom (or better) processors and at least a 160GB Hard Drive.  It is our opinion that netbooks are simply not fast enough to run CAT Software efficiently and reliably, so we will not load your CAT Software on to any of our netbooks.  If you need a small, lightweight laptop for actual court reporting, feel free to contact us for more options.
