The ThinkPad Edge E420 and E520 systems offer a great balance of price and performance. However, if your needs also include a big screen in a lightweight package - we've got just the system for you! For those reporters looking to balance screen size, weight, performance AND price, there is simply no better choice than the Lenovo ThinkPad E420s. Weighing in at just 4.2 pounds, this powerhouse contains all the technology and performance of it's larger (and heavier) cousins but still maintains a 14" screen AND a built-in optical drive (not to mention it's a SLOT LOADING drive!). That's a weight savings of over a pound! Also built into the E420s are three (3) USB Ports, a memory card reader and an entire suite of ThinkVantage technologies designed to keep your laptop AND data safe and secure.
The E420s has NO expansion slot and should not be used by reporters who still need to connect their writer to their computer with a serial port. If you still require a serial port (adapter), please consider the E420 or E520.

CAT Software Files Transferred If you are using a CAT Software that we have access to, we will install that software AND make arrangements to transfer your block files, settings and main dictionaries BEFORE you receive your new computer.
